How to do it

Press both feet firmly into the platform to brace your torso.

  1. 1

Sit down on the leverage machine and place your feet on the front platform.

  2. 2

Lean forward to grab the handles, then sit back with your arms extended.

  3. 3

Pull the handles towards your torso while keeping your back straight.

  4. 4

Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the end of the movement.

  5. 5

Slowly return to the starting position with your arms extended.

  6. 6

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Keep your chest up and avoid using momentum to pull the weight. Focus on driving your elbows back without flaring them out to fully engage the targeted muscles.

Common mistakes

  • ✕Letting the handles snap back on the return
  • ✕Leading the pull with the hands, not elbows
  • ✕Partially extending the arms between reps
