How to do it
Count three seconds up and three seconds down to keep the movement smooth.
- 1
Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a towel taut with both hands at thigh level.
- 2
With arms slightly bent, raise your arms out to the sides, keeping tension on the towel, until they are parallel to the floor.
- 3
Hold the position briefly, then slowly lower your arms back to the starting position.
- 4
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Focus on maintaining tension in the towel throughout the exercise to engage the shoulder muscles effectively.
Common mistakes
- ✕Raising the towel above shoulder height
- ✕Bending the elbows beyond a slight bend
