How to do it

Keep both arms fully straight from the shoulder throughout each jump.

  1. 1

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and arms at your sides.

  2. 2

Jump slightly and simultaneously raise your arms out to the sides to shoulder height, palms facing down.

  3. 3

While in mid-air, quickly switch your palms to face up before landing.

  4. 4

Land softly and immediately jump again, switching your palms back to the starting position.

  5. 5

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Control the motion and focus on engaging your shoulder muscles throughout the exercise to improve muscle activation and prevent momentum from taking over.
