How to do it

Maintain straight wrists aligned with your forearms during each pull.

  1. 1

Lie face down on a flat bench with your feet on the ground for stability.

  2. 2

Grasp a cambered barbell with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.

  3. 3

Pull the bar towards your abdomen, squeezing your shoulder blades together.

  4. 4

Lower the bar back to the starting position with a controlled motion.

Expert tip

Keep your back flat on the bench throughout the exercise to prevent any lower back strain.
