How to do it
Keep your knees stacked directly over your ankles throughout each repetition.
- 1
Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor and a resistance band looped around the balls of your feet.
- 2
Hold the ends of the band with your hands to create tension.
- 3
Press your toes down against the resistance of the band, lifting your heels off the ground.
- 4
Slowly lower your heels back to the starting position.
- 5
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Focus on a full range of motion, pressing through the balls of your feet to fully contract your calf muscles at the top of the movement.
