How to do it
Plant your feet firmly and distribute weight evenly across both legs.
- 1
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding an EZ-bar in front of your thighs with an overhand grip.
- 2
Raise the bar smoothly in front of you to shoulder height, keeping your arms straight.
- 3
Pause briefly at the top, then lower the bar back to the starting position.
- 4
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Keep your torso stationary and avoid using momentum to lift the weight; the movement should be controlled and deliberate.
