How to do it

Keep your toes pointed straight back throughout the entire set.

  1. 1

Lie face down on a flat bench with your hips on the edge of the bench.

  2. 2

Hold onto the sides of the bench for stability.

  3. 3

Keep your legs straight and lift them up until they are in line with your body.

  4. 4

Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement.

  5. 5

Lower your legs back down with control.

  6. 6

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Focus on a slow and controlled movement, using your glutes and hamstrings to lift your legs, not your back.
