How to do it

Distribute your weight evenly across the balls and heels of both feet.

  1. 1

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms relaxed by your sides.

  2. 2

Simultaneously lift both arms diagonally in front of you, as if scooping up water, until they are at shoulder height.

  3. 3

Lower your arms back to the starting position in a controlled manner.

  4. 4

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, alternating the diagonal direction with each rep.

Expert tip

Focus on maintaining a strong core and avoid using momentum to lift the arms; the movement should be driven by the chest muscles.
