How to do it
Keep your wrists neutral and aligned with your forearms throughout.
- 1
Stand upright holding a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder level with your elbows bent at a 90-degree angle.
- 2
Keep your elbows close to your sides and rotate the dumbbells outward while keeping the angle in your elbows constant.
- 3
Pause at the top of the movement.
- 4
Slowly return to the starting position.
- 5
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Keep your movements controlled and avoid using momentum to ensure maximum engagement of the shoulder rotator cuff.
