How to do it

Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout each rep.

  1. 1

Stand with both feet on the band, hip-width apart.

  2. 2

Hold the band with both hands in front of you, arms extended.

  3. 3

Pull the band upwards toward your chin, leading with your elbows.

  4. 4

Keep the band close to your body as you lift.

  5. 5

Lower the band back down with control.

  6. 6

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Keep your chest up and shoulders back to prevent rounding of the back and to target the correct muscles.

Common mistakes
