How to do it
Lower yourself under control for a two-count each rep.
- 1
Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, barbell resting on your upper back.
- 2
Brace your core and descend into a squat, going down only a quarter of the full squat depth.
- 3
Drive through your heels to return to the starting position.
- 4
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Keep your chest up and knees tracking over your toes to maintain proper form and prevent undue stress on your knees.
Common mistakes
