How to do it

Brace your abs and keep your rib cage stacked over your hips for the whole set.

  1. 1

Stand up straight with a barbell held at a wide grip, palms facing up.

  2. 2

Keep your elbows close to your torso and curl the barbell up towards your shoulders while exhaling.

  3. 3

Lower the barbell back to the starting position while inhaling.

  4. 4

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Maintain a slight bend in your elbows at the bottom of the movement to keep constant tension on the biceps.

Common mistakes

  • ✕Letting the elbows drift forward as you curl
