How to do it
Hinge forward to a 45-degree torso angle to line up the cable.
- 1
Set the pulley to the lowest position and grab the end of the cable with one hand.
- 2
Stand facing the machine, bend forward at the hips and keep your back straight with your knees slightly bent.
- 3
Keep your working elbow close to your body and push the cable back until your arm is fully extended.
- 4
Hold the contraction briefly, then slowly return to the starting position.
- 5
Perform all the reps on one side before switching to the other arm.
Expert tip
Keep your elbow locked in position to isolate the triceps effectively without involving the shoulder muscles.
Common mistakes
