How to do it
Plant your entire foot flat on the center of each descending step.
- 1
Step onto the Stepmill and select your desired program or speed.
- 2
Stand upright with your core engaged.
- 3
Begin stepping in a continuous motion, matching the speed of the machine.
- 4
Keep your hands lightly on the rails for balance, not support.
- 5
Focus on pushing through your heels to engage your glutes and hamstrings.
- 6
Continue for the desired duration or until you reach your step goal.
Expert tip
Maintain good posture with a slight lean forward from the ankles, not the waist. Avoid holding on too tightly to the handrails.
