How to do it

Keep your lower back pressed flat against the floor throughout each rotation.

  1. 1

Lie on your back with your arms extended out to the sides for support.

  2. 2

Lift your knees towards your chest, keeping them together.

  3. 3

Slowly lower your knees to one side, going only as far as you can while keeping your opposite shoulder blade on the floor.

  4. 4

Use your abdominal muscles to bring your knees back to the center.

  5. 5

Lower your knees to the opposite side and repeat.

  6. 6

Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Control the movement and use your abs to bring your knees back to the center to engage your core muscles effectively.
