How to do it

Press your lower back gently toward the floor throughout each reach.

  1. 1

Lie on your back with your legs extended and arms by your sides.

  2. 2

Lift your right leg and left arm simultaneously, reaching your left hand towards your right toe.

  3. 3

Lower your arm and leg back to the floor and repeat with the opposite limbs.

  4. 4

Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.

Expert tip

Keep your movements controlled and focus on using your abdominal muscles to lift your torso rather than relying on momentum.

Common mistakes

  • ✕Letting the resting leg drift off the floor
  • ✕Bending the working knee to shorten the reach
  • ✕Cranking the head forward with each reach
