How to do it
Keep your hips stacked under your shoulders throughout the entire set.
- 1
Stand with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes pointing outwards.
- 2
Lower into a quarter squat.
- 3
As you come up, lift your right heel off the ground, coming onto your tip toe.
- 4
Lower your right heel as you squat again, then lift your left heel as you rise.
- 5
Alternate heels with each squat for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Ensure you press evenly through the balls of your feet when rising onto your tip toes to activate your calf muscles effectively.
