How to do it
Squeeze your obliques at the end of each rotation before reversing.
- 1
Sit on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat, holding a medicine ball with both hands.
- 2
Lean back slightly and lift your feet off the floor, balancing on your sit bones.
- 3
Twist your torso to the right, bringing the medicine ball towards the floor beside you.
- 4
Twist to the left, moving the medicine ball to the opposite side.
- 5
Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
Expert tip
Twist from your torso rather than your arms to fully engage the oblique muscles.
Common mistakes
- ✕Letting the feet drop back to the floor
